Hello Students!
Welcome to the BCS Summer Reading 2018 website. While the lists are broken down by grade, please feel free to browse all the lists and make choices that feel right for your reading level and that sound interesting to you. Some of these titles appear on the Brooklyn Public Library Summer Reading lists, which should almost guarantee their availability. You may also find audio book editions of these titles in the Brooklyn Public Library catalog, which you can download to your phone or tablet.
We have one more task for you this summer -- make sure you have a public library card. The BNS/BCS Library participates in a special program, called MyLibraryNYC, that provides students with fine-free library cards. Fines on your regular library card will be erased if you apply for this special card. Use this APPLICATION and return it to any Brooklyn, Queens, or Staten Island library to get your card.
We also encourage you to check out Brooklyn Public Library's Summer Reading website. They have lots of free programs and events for all ages throughout the summer.
